Mojabeng Senekal Ndebele: A Life of Purpose, Social Justice & Transformational Impact

At the heart of Mojabeng Senekal Ndebele’s work is a deep, unshakable love for people. She is a voice for the voiceless, an advocate for the underserved, and a fierce protector of dignity and justice, especially when it’s unrecognized or spared accountability. Her life philosophy is rooted in doing the right and noble thing when it’s hard, when there is no applause, and especially when no one is watching. This quiet integrity defines not only her leadership, but also her legacy. Whether in boardrooms, rural villages, or global forums, Mojabeng shows up with compassion, conviction, and a vision for equity that is grounded in action. Her philanthropic footprint reflects this unwavering commitment to equity, development, and empowerment. Mojabeng does not simply design projects, she breathes life into them, ensuring they reflect the voices of communities and leave sustainable impact behind.

Free Medical Camp in Semonkong

In one of Lesotho’s most remote mountainous regions, Mojabeng spearheaded a free medical camp in Semonkong, providing critical healthcare services to hundreds who would otherwise go without. From mobilizing volunteer health professionals to coordinating logistics and ensuring patient dignity, the camp was a masterclass in community-driven impact. For this initiative, she was internationally recognized with the Face of Beauty International Charity Award in Taiwan. But for Mojabeng, the true reward was in the relief, hope, and healing experienced by the families she served.

The Girls’ Empowerment Program

Driven by a belief that girls must not only dream but be equipped to lead, Mojabeng launched the Girls’ Empowerment Program in 2015, a mentorship initiative focused on confidence, wellness, and public speaking. Under her guidance, young Basotho girls have gone on to win national crowns, represent Lesotho on global platforms, and most importantly, find their voice.

“I deem beauty pageants not as just competitions, but as classrooms for confidence and character

Mental Health Workshops for Children

In orphanages, schools, and children’s centers, Mojabeng has led mental health workshops to normalize emotional well-being and give children practical tools to navigate trauma, anxiety, and identity challenges. These sessions are interactive, age-appropriate, and infused with empathy.

“For many children who rarely hear the words “how are you feeling?” These workshops become a safe space of healing and self-discovery.”

Advocacy Against Gender-Based Violence

Standing firmly against injustice, Mojabeng has championed advocacy campaigns against gender-based violence, partnering with global brands like L’Oréal Paris and grassroots organizations such as Women for Change [Watch here]. Her campaigns combine advocacy, community dialogue, and survivor-centered approaches to challenge harmful norms and amplify prevention.

Provision of Sanitary Towels to Schoolgirls in South Africa

Since 2019, Mojabeng has been a passionate advocate for menstrual health dignity. Recognizing the dire need faced by young girls in underserved communities, she launched a grassroots initiative focused on collecting and distributing sanitary towels to schoolgirls in Gauteng and North West provinces in South Africa. Through partnerships with private individuals, youth clubs, schools, churches, and corporate partners, Mojabeng has mobilized donations and hand-delivered thousands of pads to girls in both urban and rural schools. Her approach is not only about giving—it’s also about educating. Each distribution drive includes short mentorship sessions on body confidence, hygiene, and leadership, ensuring the girls are uplifted in both dignity and self-worth. Read more…

Soup Kitchens in Ekurhuleni Townships, South Africa

Moved by the widespread food insecurity exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mojabeng co-organized and supported community soup kitchens across the townships of Ekurhuleni (East Rand) in Gauteng, South Africa. These kitchens provided hot meals, groceries, and wellness packs to vulnerable children, the elderly, and homeless families. Mojabeng’s involvement goes beyond funding or coordination, she is always on the ground serving food, playing with children, and listening to community stories. For her, it’s about restoring dignity, one plate at a time.

A Philanthropic Philosophy Rooted in Social Justice

Mojabeng’s approach to philanthropy is inclusive, participatory, and transformative. She believes in co-creating solutions with communities, not imposing them.

“I see conversation as the beginning of healing, creativity as a tool for inclusion, and community as the greatest resource in solving any challenge.”

Her work is not just charitable – it is systemic, and anchored in justice. Above all, Mojabeng is led by a higher calling: to live with purpose, lead with integrity, and leave behind inspire other generations to believe in themselves and know how to serve others.
