About Mojabeng

Mojabeng Senekal-Ndebele is a multifaceted leader, internationally recognized public speaker, and award-winning humanitarian. She is a development practitioner whose work cuts across resource mobilization, public health, public speaking, pageantry, philanthropy, and digital entrepreneurship.

Mojabeng holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from the National University of Lesotho. Her undergraduate thesis, “Occupational Health and Safety Survey in Small-Scale Textile Firms in Maseru, Lesotho,” was graded with Merit, showcasing her early commitment to investigating the health and safety conditions of vulnerable workers in Lesotho’s industrial sector.

She later graduated with a Master of Public Health at the University of Johannesburg, where her research, “Factors Associated with Tuberculosis Amongst Textile Workers in Maseru, Lesotho,” was selected for inclusion in the university’s online library an acknowledgment of its scholarly excellence and contribution to public health literature.

Mojabeng’s academic journey, from Environmental Health to Public Health has always centered around one core mission: protecting and uplifting the health and dignity of underserved communities. Environmental Health laid the foundation for her understanding of how the conditions in which people live and work; air, water, sanitation, housing, and occupational environments directly impact their well-being. Public Health expanded that lens, equipping her with the tools to address systemic health disparities, advocate for policy change, and strengthen health systems for collective impact.

To Mojabeng, both disciplines are not just areas of study, but expressions of her life purpose: to be a voice for the voiceless, to champion equity, and to advocate fiercely for those often left behind. Whether investigating TB among textile workers or leading community health initiatives in rural villages, her work reflects a deeply rooted belief in doing what is right, even when it’s hard, unnoticed, or unpopular. Her heart for people, especially the most vulnerable, remains the compass that guides her every step in development, leadership, and service.

To further strengthen her technical and leadership capabilities, Mojabeng has completed a Professional Certification in Resource Mobilization from the London School of Business Management, and a Professional Certification in Healthcare Policy and Regulation from the London School of Planning and Management. These credentials have enabled her to drive high-impact, equity-focused health initiatives across policy, practice, and community development.

Mojabeng is a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) alumna, and an ACTIVATE! South Africa member. She is a board member of the International Human Rights Lab and sits on the advisory board of the Women in Leadership Program at the University of New Haven (USA), reflecting her influence in both governance and mentorship spaces.
